Normally if you vent air that has been metred into the engine, it can cause problems with the smooth running of the engine.
This valve gets around this by splitting up the charge being vented between the normal recirculation path, and atmospheric venting. Enough air is recirculated to ensure smooth operation of the engine.The Forge Splitter valve can be configured to offer fully recirculating operation, fully atmospheric operation, and hybrid operation.
